Confirmed: Netflix series for “Resident Evil” goes a completely new way

Months ago, an alleged description of the plot for a new “Resident Evil” series went through the net. Now the series has been officially announced by Constantin Film for Netflix and the completely new way for the video game adaptation has been confirmed.

Constantin Film from Germany is producing a “Resident Evil” series for Netflix. This has now been finally confirmed by the company, which is also behind the previous cinema series and, among other things, the “Fack Ju Göhte” successful films – with many details on production and content.

Constantin Film from Germany is producing a “Resident Evil” series for Netflix.

Among other things from a “Supernatural” maker

As Constantin announced, the first season of the “Resident Evil” series comprises eight episodes of 60 minutes each. One of the people responsible for this is Andrew Dabb, who is the showrunner, producer and author who holds the strings in hand. Dabb is best known for “Supernatural”, where he was first an author, but from the twelfth season also had greater responsibility as a co-showrunner.

the first season of the “Resident Evil” series comprises eight episodes of 60 minutes each

He is supported among others by Bronwen Hughes (“The Walking Dead”). The director will stage the first two episodes and will probably also help shape the visual style of the series. Hughes has already staged numerous series episodes, for example for “The Walking Dead”, “Better Call Saul”, “Berlin Station” or the Netflix hit “Dead Girls Don’t Lie” ffmovies.

In addition to Dabb and Hughes, Robert Kulzer, Oliver Berben, Mary Leah Sutton and Constantin boss Martin Moszkowicz are also listed as producers in various roles.

Completely new story on two time levels

But most readers should be primarily interested in what the new “Resident Evil” series is about. The information we reported on a while ago was confirmed: The story takes place on two time levels! Here is the description of the two time levels from the press release:

The story takes place on two time levels!

In the first, the two fourteen-year-old sisters, Jade and Billie Wesker, have to move to New Raccoon City, a planned city that was pounded out of the ground, just as they are in the middle of puberty. But the more time they spend there, the more it becomes clear to both of them that this city is more than it initially seems, and that their father hides dark secrets. Secrets that could destroy the world.

The second narrative level takes place more than ten years in the future: there are only fewer than fifteen million people on earth. And more than six billion monsters – humans and animals infected with the T virus. Jade, now thirty, struggles to survive in this new world, while secrets from her past – about her sister, her father and herself – haunt her.

The series provides us with a completely new story, so it is not related to the previous films with Milla Jovovich and is also not an implementation of a specific part of the video game template.

It is still unknown when the series could appear on Netflix and which actresses will take on the leading roles as Jade and Billie Wesker at a young age and as 30-year-old Jade in the second storyline. The cast of the father of the young women should also be eagerly awaited by fans, because it should be Albert Wesker, the central villain figure of the successful series. Jason O’Mara first appeared in the films and later Shawn Roberts.

Gone Girl Why the ending in the film is even nastier than in the book

“Gone Girl”: Why the ending in the film is even nastier than in the book

The ending of the “Gone Girl” novel differs from the film in small, crucial ways. The effect is therefore very different …

“Gone Girl” runs today (Saturday) from 8:15 pm on tv. To mark the occasion, we are publishing this article today, which is based on a similar, older text.

As you can imagine, in the article we reveal the end of “Gone Girl”, or rather: the end of the film and novel.

As you can imagine, in the article we reveal the end of “Gone Girl”, or rather: the end of the film and novel.

Gillian Flynn wrote both the bestseller “Gone Girl” and the script for the thriller masterpiece by David Fincher, in which Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike play the leading roles. Even so, the stories differ.

The end in the movie

At the end of the film, Nick (Affleck) decides to stay married to the returned Amy (Pike) even though he knows she is a murderer. He wants to protect the child she’s carrying in her stomach after she got pregnant with his frozen sperm.

On television, Nick and Amy present themselves as a couple who have had a difficult time, wanting to stick together and work on their mutual relationship – that’s nasty because the truth is of course exactly the opposite of the staged couple’s happiness and it doesn’t look like Amy still will be punished for their misdeeds. In contrast to the book, where Amy doesn’t get off scot-free.

The end of the book

Two crucial details are different in the novel: On the one hand, the mother of Desi, who was brutally murdered by Amy (played by Neil Patrick Harris in the film), is firmly convinced that Amy is the murderer. The police don’t believe the mother, but that doesn’t mean she wants to give up. She could convict Amy at some point – so there is hope that the film does not allow.

In addition, Amy experiences a psychological attack from Nick in the book, which is missing in the film FMovies. She asks him why he not only stays with her, but is even nice to her again – and he gives her to understand that he pities her. After all, it is hard for Amy to wake up every morning and face the fact that she is a thoroughly depraved person. Ouch.

“Gone Girl” is running on tv again, but is also in the Netflix catalog. The unabridged FSK 16 version can be seen there. tv had to shorten the film to be able to show it before 10 p.m., which is why the bloody murder scene in bed with Pike and Patrick Harris was somewhat defused. But Harris’s bloody orgasm is violent because it is eruptive and brutal.

Freaks Why Netflix first superhero film from Germany is actually not one at all

“Freaks”: Why Netflix ‘first superhero film from Germany is actually not one at all

There has been a new German Netflix film on the streaming platform since September 2, 2020. Despite its supernatural powers and costumes, it is not a real superhero film, according to actors Tim Oliver Schultz and Cornelia Gröschel.

“Freaks – You are one of us” could well be described as the first German Netflix superhero film. That’s exactly what we at did when the streaming giant released the first trailer for the new film by director Felix Binder (“Club of the Red Ribbons”). After all, it is about a loving mother (Cornelia Gröschel) who one day notices that she has supernatural abilities – and soon afterwards learns that she is not alone with it.

The invulnerable Marek (Wotan Wilke Möhring) and the self-proclaimed Electro Man Elmar (Tim Oliver Schultz) make the potential superhero team perfect. And even if the latter, including the chic leather suit, does everything to become the savior of the world, “Freaks” is in the end not a classic superhero film …

Not a big hero spectacle à la Marvel

It is obvious that “Freaks” does not play on the same scale as the Hollywood machineries of Marvel, DC and Co. This would not be feasible at all for budget reasons. But with “freaks” you don’t even try to hit the same line. “It’s also advertised as an independent sci-fi drama,” Tim Oliver Schultz pointed out in an online interview in August …

“It’s also advertised as an independent sci-fi drama”

… and is absolutely right about it. Because the “Red Ribbon Club” star knows exactly what the real focus of his new film is: “It’s mainly about underdogs, people who don’t really feel at home in society, who develop supernatural abilities and deal with them somehow have to.”

“It’s mainly about underdogs, people who don’t really feel at home in society, develop supernatural abilities and have to deal with them somehow.”

A coming-of-age film – with superpowers

To dismiss the film simply as a simple superhero film would not do it justice, thinks leading actress Cornelia Gröschel (“Tatort”). For them, “Freaks” is something very special not least because there is something for everyone.

In an interview, the Dresden woman revealed: “He [“ Freaks ”] has a sense of humor, it’s a bit of a romance film, it has a bit of drama, and it has a bit of action. There’s something for everyone. The film tells the story of someone who is just discovering his own strength and is a kind of coming-of-age film. “

The film tells the story of someone who is just discovering his own strength and is a kind of coming-of-age film. “

The conclusion on “Freaks”

We at can really only agree with the “Freaks” actors. Because while big action scenes are not in the foreground in the film (of course also due to budgetary reasons), the story from the pen of “Dark” co-author Marc O. Seng revolves around the human challenges that even supermen have to struggle with .

On top of that there is a humorous 80s soundtrack and lots of nerdy references to film and series highlights from the past decades – from “Matrix” to “Stranger Things” 123movies hd.

“The Batman” shooting stopped due to Corona: Robert Pattinson infected [update from update]

“The Batman” lead actor Robert Pattinson tested positive for the coronavirus. The shooting was then stopped – and should still be, despite reports to the contrary.

If you walk through the inner city of Berlin, where the office is located (but still works from home), you can easily get the impression that the corona pandemic is over, given the careless behavior of various fellow citizens. But it is not – and Hollywood is now noticing that too.

In Great Britain, where the shooting of “The Batman” has only just started again after the Corona break, they have to pause again. How u. a. the industry magazine Variety reports, a crew member tested positive for the corona virus. The person concerned is now in quarantine and filming has been temporarily interrupted.

Update, Sept. 3: Vanity Fair, citing an inside source, reports that Robert Pattinson is the person who tested positive. The main actor is infected with it.

Another break

It is not known how long the new interruption will last and whether it will have an impact on the start date. The theatrical release of “The Batman” had already been postponed to September 30, 2021 after Hollywood had stopped all filming due to the corona pandemic. The “Batman” crew still has a lot ahead of them: They say that there are still three months to shoot YESmovies.

The decisive factor will now be whether the virus has also spread to other crew members or whether it is an individual case. In any case, many scenes will not be able to be shot without the main actor Pattinson.

Update, September 4: As the Daily Mail reports, director Matt Reeves is said to have resumed filming after the short break. While Robert Pattinson remains in quarantine for two weeks, as many scenes as possible should be shot without him. Body doubles should be used.

Incidentally, it was different with “Jurassic World 3”: As Deadline writes, citing local reports, four members of the crew in Malta had tested positive. Those affected had gone into quarantine, but the second unit crew working in Malta had been reduced so that the shooting could continue.

A trailer has already been released for “The Batman”, in which a very grim Dark Knight has to solve a mysterious series of murders, although director Matt Reeves only had a quarter of his footage in the can:

The end of Tenet is anything but a happy ending

The end of “Tenet” is anything but a happy ending!

Topics such as climate change resonate in “Tenet”

Opinion (with spoilers!)

Opinion (with spoilers!)

If you just accept the end of “Tenet” as it is presented, then you can speak of a happy ending with a clear conscience: The protagonist (John David Washington) not only warded off the danger from the future, he actually was even who actually started the whole mission by traveling back in time in the future (the German language simply does not have enough tenses to express everything correctly and precisely in “tenet”).

a happy ending

Sure, Neil (Robert Pattinson) sacrifices himself. But that’s not really bad either, after all, from the protagonist’s perspective, he still has his whole life ahead of him. Ergo the allusion to the classic film “Casablanca” when Neil, shortly before he throws himself into death, talks about the beginning (and not just the end) of a wonderful friendship …

So that ends well, starts well, all right? Regardless of whether forwards or backwards?

So that ends well, starts well, all right?

One step further it’s getting very dark!

But what exactly did the protagonist prevent with his commitment? You could imagine the whole story of “Tenet” from the perspective of the future:

did the protagonist actually prevent with his commitment?

After centuries of exploitation, the earth is finally on the verge of collapse. Wars, famines and natural disasters are likely to be raging. Global warming, rising sea levels, the devastation of the earth’s surface – none of this can be stopped for a long time …

And in this supposedly hopeless situation, a scientist comes up with an ingenious invention with which the already sealed fate of mankind can still be bent: With the so-called inversion, the passage of time can be reversed – instead of finally collapsing, nature would imitate itself and after recovering, at some point even return to their original state …

But puff pie: Some ass in the past with his tenet program wrecks everything in the last second. Shut up, humanity dead!

Some ass in the past ruined everything with his tenet program at the last second 123Movie.

Every man for himself

I’m a big fan of “Tenet” – my 5-star review was far too positive for many readers:

The review of “Tenet”

But at that point I also see a wasted opportunity: The ethical decision that the protagonist makes by saving his own generation, but at the same time sealing the final end of humanity, is never really negotiated in the film.

a missed chance:

The dilemma behind this is in times of climate change

Whether you regard the end of “Tenet” as a happy ending or not has something to do with whether you are already living according to the now literally understandable saying “After me the flood” – or whether you are already living in future Allowing generations to flow into his (political) considerations, because it simply seems morally appropriate, even if the not-yet-born are not allowed to vote for a long time.

or whether one is already allowing future generations to flow into one’s (political) considerations,

“Tenet” has been in German cinemas since August 26th.

We already know which satellite has taken a spectacular photo of the destroyed rocket

Donald Trump posted on Twitter a satellite image of a destroyed rocket that Iran wanted to launch from the Khomeini National Space Center in the north of the country, with the note that it was not the US’s doing.

In this way, the US president wanted to quickly refute the Iranian government’s accusations against his country that the US was guilty of the entire catastrophe. In fact, only Iranian engineers were responsible for the whole event. “I wish Iran all the best and good luck in determining what caused the explosion,” Donald Trump, President of the United States, wrote on Twitter.

After a few days of delay, the Iranian government said that the cause of the disaster was technical errors and scientists are already working to solve this problem. Meanwhile, fans of astronomy and espionage devices in Earth’s orbit were curious about where the image published by Trump came from. It turns out that it was made by a spy satellite USA 224, which belongs to the KH-11 Recon network and is operated by the CIA and DOD.

The satellite is 8 meters long, 3 meters wide, weighs 8 tons and has a mirror with a diameter of 2.4 meters. Interestingly, it is based on the construction of the Hubble Space Telescope, only that its CRYSTAL System observation systems are directed towards the surface of our planet, not space. USA 224 allows observation of objects with a resolution of 10 centimeters. The images made by him are characterized by incredible quality and detail, which you can see in the attached image.

Donald Trump, by publishing the satellite image of the Iranian installation, at the same time showed to the whole world that his various services are constantly watching critical places around the world and following the development of events in order to respond in advance to the coming threat in advance.

The Chinese rover Yutu-2 discovered a strange, gel-like substance on the moon

Extremely interesting news comes to us from the surface of the Silver Globe, so far invisible to humanity, where the rover has been researching as part of the Chang’e-4 mission since the beginning of the year.

The Yutu-2 rover sent images of the surface of the Von Karman Crater to Earth. It lies in the Aitken South Pole basin, which has a diameter of 2500 kilometers, was built about 3.9 billion years ago and is one of the largest, but also the oldest objects of this type in the entire Solar System. The latest research shows that in the place where the device is located, the temperature drops to as low as minus 190 degrees Celsius, which is much more than we previously thought.

New discoveries fascinated Chinese scientists so much that they decided to change the route of the rover and point it towards the strange structures that were previously observed from the lander. The robot approached, photographed and examined a strange, colorful substance with a gel-like structure. Unfortunately, the Chinese from CNSA have not yet shared any information about this substance.

We can guess that it is interesting from the point of view of cosmic mining, that they do not want to reveal details about it, so as not to encourage other countries to send the mission to the invisible side of the Moon to explore it. However, world experts rated the images published by the Chinese and explain that it could be molten glass that was formed as a result of a meteorite impact on the surface of our planet’s natural satellite.

The surface of the Silver Globe invisible from Earth is very interesting for astronomers. Chinese scientists want to know if a giant asteroid hit the landing site, and it is commonly believed that this object once covered an ocean of hot magma. As time passed, the ocean cooled, then lighter minerals were carried to its surface, and heavier ones collapsed inside. In this way, a basalt surface was formed that covers olivines and pyroxenes. Cosmic rocks also played a significant role. Hitting the shell, they threw fragments of the mantle to the surface 1337 directory.

A strange, colorful and gel-like substance is in the crater in front of the rover. Fig. CNSA.

Therefore, the Chinese decided to study the Von Karman crater and the entire PSA, which could have arisen in this way and could be the best place to learn the exact chemical composition of the coat. Interestingly, scientists managed to discover only the rudimentary traces of olivine. The results of the research surprised the scientific world very much. Researchers have thought so far that there will be many more. However, this is not a premise that the concept for the creation and development of the Moon is somewhat different than we previously thought. Most importantly, it was confirmed that PSA was formed by the impact of a giant asteroid.

Scientists believe that olivine and pyroxen are much deeper in the mantle because they have been discovered in deeper craters located on the surface of the Silver Globe visible from Earth. The Chinese intend to do more research to obtain new information that will solve this puzzle. Knowledge about this is key. It will allow us to understand not only the formation of the Moon, but also the Earth. In turn, greater knowledge of the planets will contribute to faster and more efficient discovering of new alien worlds on which biological life similar to what we know from our planet can form.

The Chinese Space Agency (CNSA) makes no secret that, in addition to wanting to learn about the past, the formation of the moon, it also depends on checking what natural deposits can be used in planned manned and colonization missions. We remind you that this year the Chinese want to send another research mission to the Silver Globe, and in the next few years we will keep our fingers crossed for them.

An unknown mineral on Earth was discovered in a meteorite that fell in Siberia

Sometimes we don’t have to move from Earth to discover something fascinating. All we have to do is watch the cosmic rocks fall to Earth and then try to find them. This is what happened recently in Siberia.

It is highly probable that it may turn out that a deep surprise has come to us from deep space. Such an event has recently taken place in Russian Siberia. Scientists have found there a meteorite, which contains a mineral that is not found and yet unknown on the planet.

He received the name uakityt in honor of the place where it was discovered, namely Uakit. The Russians reported this fact during the Annual Meeting of The Meteoritical Society 2018 in Moscow.

Space rock consists of 98% kamacite, i.e. an iron and nickel alloy. Such material naturally arises at a temperature of over 1000 degrees Celsius, only in outer space and can get to the surface of our planet thanks to cosmic rocks. The same applies to the unique mineral called uakityt.

An unknown mineral on Earth was discovered in a meteorite that fell in Siberia. Fig. webmineral.ru technologius.

Scientists examined the meteorite and found traces of this mineral in it, about 25 times smaller than a grain of sand. Unfortunately, there is too little of it to determine its physical properties. However, it turned out that it is similar to previously discovered in meteorites other minerals called carlsbergit and osbornite, which contain a single nitrogen atom.

Their attribute is extraordinary hardness, so they would be suitable for abrasive material, but in such small amounts that we have, they can only have an educational value. Uakityit can boast of obtaining just over 9 points on the Mohs hardness scale, in which diamonds reach 10 points.

Finally, we know what the face of our oldest ancestor looked like

The latest discovery of archaeologists has finally allowed us to look in the face of our oldest ancestor – does it look as we expected? Let’s find out!

Paleontologists, after many years of research, finally managed to find an almost complete skull of Australopithecus anamensis, a primate mammal, hominid, who lived about 4 million years ago in Africa. To date, we have learned about our ancestor from the few fossil remains found, the first of which was discovered in 1965 at Rudolf Lake in Kenya by explorer Bryan Patterson – these were originally described as A. afarensis and only 30 years later paleoanthropologist Meave Leakey did a search this discovery. Either way, until recently fragments of the jaw, jaw, teeth, humerus and lower leg bones (these suggest that Australopithecus anamensis walked upright), but the new discovery is a real revelation.

We are dealing with almost the entire skull, thanks to which it was possible to reproduce the appearance of this hominid – as a result, we get a face that confirms the earlier suppositions of researchers, i.e. Australopithecus anamensis has common features with chimpanzees (large flat nose, protruding rounded jaw, protruding eyebrow arches) and cheeks) as well as people. The discovery was made in 2016 in Ethiopia, and the age of the find dates to 3.8 million years – according to researchers, the skull belonged to an adult male Australopithecus anamensis net oasis. Interestingly, they are at the same time the youngest remains of A. anamensis that have been found so far and one of the oldest cranial remains of the Hominini tribe, because here the current record is 3.5 million years.

The new discovery allows us to fill an important gap in the history of human origin – Australopithecus anamensis is at the moment the oldest known species of the genus Australopithecus, which is considered the earliest member of the human evolutionary tree. We have long thought that A. anamensis evolved directly into another subspecies of A. afarensis (the famous skeleton of Lucy), but with a new discovery in the hands, scientists are no longer so sure. It turns out that the skull is a strange combination of primitive and advanced features.

And most interestingly and surprisingly, some features of A. anamensis are definitely more developed than those of A. afarensis, which raises the question of whether the former is certainly the direct ancestor of the latter. The revised timeline suggests that A. anamensis lived up to 3.8 million years ago, while A. afarensis arose earlier than we thought, even about 3.9 million years ago, which means that both species have overlapping 100,000 years. Does this mean that we need to rewrite our evolution story? Maybe not quite, but certainly will need to be amended.
