The new trailer for “Watchmen” announces war
HBO has released a new trailer for the “Watchmen” continuation by Damon Lindelof. Everybody has a lot of anger in it and a mask behind which he can hide …
Damon Lindelof’s sequel to Alan Moore’s and Dave Gibbons’ groundbreaking graphic novel “Watchmen” will be in the starting blocks as of October 2019 in the US – and probably ours as well. The second trailer, which with its bombastic music and memorable images once again neatly stirs up the hype, reveals the bottom line in about as much or little as the first, but promises one thing above all: heaps of violence against everything and everyone and a provocative-political dimension which, yes, even the graphic novel is not to deny.
Above all, however, it promises one thing: plenty of violence against everything and everyone and a provocative-political dimension
That’s what “Watchmen”, the series, is all about
Following the events of “Watchmen”, the graphic novel, a terrorist group of white nationalists has risen in the United States to use rogue masks to lynch justice, without stopping at police and their families. In response, even the law enforcement officers now wear masks to hide their identity, which also leads to an increase in police violence. The series takes place in 2019 in Oklahoma and in the alternative timeline of the famous “Watchmen” universe.
“Watchmen” will be released on October 20, 2019 in the US and will probably celebrate its premiere on the gomovies channel Sky at about the same time.
